Following its acquisition of Contained Energy 12 months ago, Impiro today can announce a major shift in focus for the company.
Simon Landsheer, majority investor at Impiro, will take over Contained Energy operations in his new capacity as CEO.
“It’s a hugely exciting time in the renewable energy sector and we are eager to see Contained Energy fulfill its potential and build upon its existing position in the market,” Landsheer said.
“The team has spent great resources in solidifying this position and I’m excited to formally take the helm at Contained Energy and together with key members of the Impiro and Contained Energy team we hope to implement our vision for this company.”
Landsheer’s appointment has already seen the restructuring of Contained Energy as a registered Singapore entity, with Singapore also serving as its regional and global headquarters.
“Singapore is a global financial powerhouse and this will be a vital jurisdiction for our efforts moving forward,” Landsheer said.
“We are moving away from traditional solar panel installations and towards a solar leasing and financial model where we’ll be able to raise funds from capital markets in Singapore to finance various large scale solar projects in Indonesia via Power Purchase Agreement strategies.
“The solar opportunities within Indonesia are very exciting and it’s our objective to make this market available to the impressive financial market in Singapore.”
With over 10 years of experience in the Indonesian solar market and more the 100 solar installations, the Impiro-backed Contained Energy is now well positioned to fast-track the development of the Indonesian solar landscape as the nation enters this exciting period of renewable implementation.
