Contained Energy cooperated with “INDOGERM-Direct” of the Indonesian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (EKONID) in their project to ‘rebuild Aceh’. The program is designed to assist the North Sumatra province after the devastating Tsunami and earthquake.
In the villages of Muara Batu and Muara Tiga, there was no access to grid-electricity. CE installed a total of forty-three 50 Wp solar panels capable of lighting up and powering small appliances in homes, mosques and schools that otherwise must go without power. Twelve solar street lights were also installed, increasing safety in the villages and making life a little brighter at night.
CE also worked in cooperation with other contractors to supply a new water reservoir (40 cubic meters) with CE solar pumps. The system supplies fresh drinking water to over 1000 families in several villages.
