SOLAR REFRIGERATION SOLUTIONS

Cooling of produce (or medicine) is an essential energy requirement and there are several good alternative solutions for use in areas that do not have access to (sufficient) grid-power:

  • LPG-fired fridges and freezers
  • dc-powered fridges and freezers
  • solar powered refrigeration containers

In many cases, ‘thermal energy storage’ can reduce or replace cumbersome battery energy storage, allowing full use of the solar energy during the day.
