WATER SOLUTIONS
Water and energy are closely connected. In many places, access to water, especially potable water, is as much a problem as access to energy.
Contained Energy provides a range of water solutions, including:
- Solar Water Pumping Systems. We have installed dozens of solar pumps all over Indonesia and these provide a really robust solution without operating costs.
- Simple ‘household-scale’ devices such as the Water Cone and Solvatten, that provide small quantities of potable water through distillation and/or UV purification from various water sources. The Water Cone can even be used on salt water.
- Solar-Powered Reverse Osmosis Systems that can purify sea water, saline well water, into drinkable water. We offer two small standard configurations but these can be scaled up to much larger systems.
- Ultra-filtration Units that can make large quantities of potable water from most non saline sources. These systems require very little maintenance and work on gravity-feed so do not require energy.
Different water sources require different treatments and required volumes also play a big role in optimum solution selection.
